About Us

 

We are Edinburgh based film makers who decided to organise our own event in 2005 to premier our film 'Trailer Trash'. The Leith Festival organisers were kind enough to include it as an event in their festival programme, and the screening was so popular, we decided to try running a short film festival in 2006. This was a very well attended event, with standing room only at each of the screenings. We ran the event again in 2007, screening more then 60 films over two days to appreciative audiences.

 

This festival hopes to showcase films with a connection to Leith, or Scotland, but we are open to entrants from all over the world. In 2006 and 2007 we screened several films made in and around Edinburgh, but we also showed films from as far afield as Italy, the USA, and Pakistan. In 2007 we collaborated with the Arrivano i Corti international short film festival in Italy: they showed some of the films from our festival, and we hope to show some of theirs this year.

 

We continue to make our own films and hope to screen some at this years festival.
